North Bay residents will be able to enjoy the big screen tomorrow.
Cineplex is the first major film exhibitors in the world to reopen its entire circuit of theatres.
From coast to coast, all 164 Cineplex theatres and 1,687 screens across Canada will be open as of tomorrow.
Katie Rankin, Communications associate for Cineplex said that the day its doors closed was the day their team began diligently preparing for a safe reopening.
“We used this time to re-examine all of our buildings and processes, so when you step foot inside one of our theatres or entertainment venues, you can have confidence in knowing that we have implemented an industry-leading program with end-to-end health and safety protocols,” she said.
She adds that the company’s top priority has always been the health and safety of our employees and guests and ensuring that they have a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment.
“We are diligently following and implementing all guidelines from the public health authorities, as well as those put forth by municipal and provincial governments across Canada. We also worked in partnership with leading public health and infectious disease experts at the University Health Network in Toronto to maximize safety precautions for all team members and guests.”
Detailed information about all the measures they have put in place to keep everyone safe is available on Cineplex.com.
“On a high level, we are enhancing cleaning practices throughout our theatres using hospital-grade disinfecting products, with particular focus on high-contact surfaces, restrooms, and seats. Our seats are cleaned after every showtime. We are reducing capacity in all auditoriums and implementing physical distancing measures throughout our building. This includes reserved seating in all auditoriums across Canada; seating options are automatically blocked off to ensure proper distance in every direction between guests. We are making hand sanitizer readily available for guests and employees throughout our buildings, as well as ensuring employees have the personal protective equipment they need and respecting all locally and municipally mandated guidelines.” finished Rankin.
To welcome movie-lovers in North Bay back, the theatre is showing new releases like The Spongebob Movie: Sponge On The Run and Unhinged, as well as Inception: 10th Anniversary Event.
