A North Bay woman is relieved that city council will look into how to make water rates more equal across the city. Karen Anderson and several other homeowners told council Monday night that proposed new rates are unfair to a large segment of the population.
Anderson says industrial, commercial, condo and apartment owners get a break on their water because homeowners subsidize them with higher rates.
Staff now have two months to see how to make rates more equitable. The goal remains to implement rates by July 1st.
