Cable Wake Park proposal shot down by city council…

Council has shot down plans to build a cable wake park at North Bay’s waterfront.

They said there couldn’t be enough room for boas to move in and out of the Marina if it was set up.The idea was brought to council by Action Sports Entertainment a few weeks ago by a resident who said it would be a great tourist attraction.

The proposal was to have two towers, one on land and the other in water, that would tow people from one end to the other, mimicking sports like water skiing and wakeboarding. They will now investigate the possibility of putting a cable wake park somewhere else in the area.
