Another busy weekend for North Bay Police…

It was another busy weekend for North Bay Police. They responded to 255 calls for service, and arrested 16 people with a range of offences. Some of the offences included uttering threats, public drunkenness, and drug possession.

One strange incident happened on Sunday evening. Police were called to Cassells and Olive Street following a report about a fight between two men. A 43-year-old man had allegedly been driving down Cassells when he came up behind a skateboarder in the same lane.

It’s alleged the driver yelled at the skateboarder to get off the road, then sped up and cut him off. This caused the skateboarder to jump on the hood of the car to avoid being hit. The driver continued on for a short distance attempting to shake him off the hood before stopping. He then got out and punched the skateboarder.. Police have charged the local man with three offences including assault.
