Police have charged a North Bay man for stunt driving. He was caught going way above the speed limit in Calvin Township on April 29th. When police pulled him over, they noticed he had been drinking. The 41-year-old has been charged with:
1. Race a motor vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario (HTA). His Ontario drivers licence has been suspended for seven (7) days, and the vehicle he was operating was also seized for seven (7) days.
2. Impaired operation of a motor vehicle contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada (CC).
3. Care or control of a motor vehicle – over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada (CC).
The man’s license was suspended to 7 days, and he is scheduled to appear in court on May 13th.
