North Bay Fire Department’s Emergency Preparedness Open House goes tomorrow…

The North Bay Fire Department’s Emergency Preparedness Open House goes tomorrow. There will be a charity barbeque, a rooftop rescue demonstration, and pictures taken with Sparky the Fire Dog.

Randy Vezina is the Fire Prevention Officer in North Bay and stresses the importance of being prepared in case of an emergency. He says anything can happen, including a fire outage, so always have a flash light, water, food and a battery powered radio on hand so you are prepared for all circumstances.

The open house is from 11 until 2 PM at Fire Station 1 on Princess Street.
