It’s time to clean out that medicine cabinet. Tomorrow is National Prescription Drop-Off Day, and residents are encouraged to drop off any unused or expired prescription medication at the North Bay Police Station.
The event goes from 10 until 3 PM in the back parking lot at police headquarters on Princess Street. Last year, about 30 pounds of over the counter prescription drugs were collected by city police.
Police say recent studies show that 24% of teems reported misusing prescription drugs at least once in the last year. Most kids took that medication from their own home.
