Tiny Italy in North Bay is getting an outdoor patio. Council approved the pilot project 9-1. Owner Filippo Suriano says the outdoor patio will generate more activity for the downtown.
It will have 10 tables and about 20 chairs Suriano will now work with City Hall and the DIA to finalize the design. He’ll pay for the cost of the patio which will also be wheelchair accessible.
The goal is to be open by June, if there are no glitches.
The original proposal had the patio situated on several street parking spaces but that raised too many concerns.
