It looks like North Bay’s waterfront might be getting a new multi-use pier. Three-hundred thousand dollars of federal funding has been announced for the city that will go towards an engineering and environmental assessment to construct the new waterfront pier.
Once complete, the pier would help the city to establish an enhanced, central waterfront area that will boost tourism for region, and support job creation. The announcement was made by Nipissing-Timiskaming MP Jay Aspin during a news conference at North Bay City Hall this morning.
