Over 2.4-million dollars in federal funding has been announced to encourage business development in the North Bay region. The money is being provided through FedNor’s Northern Ontario Development and Community Futures fund, and is broken down into three portions.
A million will go towards new and existing small business for expansion and job creation. Another million will allow small enterprises to access business counselling services over the next three years.
Finally over 400-thousand dollars will go towards establishing a Northern Ontario Pavilion at the 2015 Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto. The announcement was made by Nipissing-Timiskaming MP Jay Aspin during a news conference in North Bay this morning.
