Downtown North Bay has announced a flurry of festivities for the August long weekend. They are holding the “Civic Weekend Free 4 All” in partnership with Summer in the Park.
It kicks off with Moonlight Madness on Thursday July 30th, which is a sidewalk sale event until 11 PM. From Friday until Sunday it’s the “Rage in a Cage” dodgeball tournament right on Main Street, presented in part by 106.3 the Moose. Then on Saturday, a dirt jump competition will take place downtown called Mayhem on Main.
DIA Executive Director Jeff Serran says the event is a win-win for the retailers that belong to the downtown because it’s bringing a lot of foot traffic to the area. The events are completely free to the public to watch and enjoy.
