North Bay Police have charged a 54-year-old man with assault. It’s alleged that sometime between noon and 3 on Wednesday the accused physically assaulted his girlfriend at a North Bay home.
She fled the scene when he was distracted, and flagged down a passing car. The driver of the car stayed with her while she called police.
The North Bay man now faces one count of assault and once count of uttering threats. His name will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
