A new bus stop planned for Lebreche Drive has caused quite a stir in North Bay. Families who live along the street are worried that it’s too narrow for a bus because there’s no side walk. The main concern is the safety of walkers and children who play on the street.
Mayor Al McDonald has called a special public meeting for 5:15 tonight, so that people can voice their concerns. He says councillors may vote tonight on whether to put the bus stop elsewhere. Over 250 people have signed a petition opposing the stop.
