City council has changed their plans for a bus stop on Labreche Drive after hearing concerns from residents.
Several people were opposed to the bus stop, with concerns about the road’s narrowness and the safety of walkers. A petition against the stop had gathered over 250 signatures before last night’s special meeting.
Last night, in a 9 to 2 vote, council decided that the bus route will now be rerouted past Labreche. Instead it will travel down Marshall Park Drive, Marshall Avenue, Booth Road, and Ashdale Crescent.
