Between December 2011 and January 3rd 2012, nine young people, all under 20 years old, died in car accidents on Northern Ontario highways. MPP Vic Fedeli has now written a letter to the Chief Coroner of Ontario, asking him to investigate these deaths.
The request follows the release of the Auditor General’s Special Report on Winter Highway Maintenance that was tabled in the legislature last month. Fedeli originally requested an investigation three years ago, but nothing happened. Fedeli says he believes the families of the victims deserve to have answers.
