North Bay Police, with help from the West Nipissing Police Service, have busted two people for fraud.
It’s alleged that between December and January, a 36-year-old man knowingly deposited numerous fraudulent cheques into his North Bay bank account. He then withdrew cash for the same amount, which was about $4,000. He’s been charged with one count of fraud.
A 26-year-old woman has also been charged with fraud because the cheques were made out by her. Both were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in court on July 14th.
