The Timiskaming OPP has released an update on the human remains found near Lady Evelyn Lake in Medina Township. The remains have been identified by a forensic unit as Daniel Trask of Waterloo, who went missing in November 2011. He was 28 years old when he went missing.
The remains were found by a search party organized by his family, and were later confirmed by police. Police say foul play is not suspected, and that the investigation is ongoing. The cause of death has not been revealed.
