A petition has been started by our local MPP to restock the walleye population in Lake Nipissing.
Stakeholder requests to start a restocking program in the lake have been turned down again by the Ministry of Natural Resources. Vic Fedeli says that Lake Nipissing is one of the most ecologically and economically important lakes in Northeastern Ontario.
He wants to hold them accountable for allowing restocking efforts in 12,000 other lakes, but  not Lake Nipissing. A petition can be found on his website here: http://www.fedeli.com/media/mpp/2015/LNSA_petition.pdf
