Just under 12-thousand dollars was raised in the 3rd annual North Bay Chrysler Charity Golf Tournament. That money goes to the North Bay Regional Health Centre to purchase a Philips Cardiac Monitor.
The monitor will be used in the Paediatrics Unit to measure a young patient’s heart rate, breathing, and blood pressure. Linda Buttigieg is a nurse in Paediatrics and says a cardiac monitor is extremely important for the hospital because many young patients are sedated for procedures. It allows a nurse to respond quickly if changes are ever detected.
