North Bay man charged for smashing in window of city bus…

A North Bay man has been charged for mischief. The man allegedly threw a bottle at a passing bus on Fisher Street shortly after midnight on Saturday, causing the glass window in the door to smash. He was found by police shortly after sitting on a park bench. The 31-year-old now faces one count of mischief and two counts of breach of probation.

In total, police responded to 218 calls for service this weekend, and charged eight people with a variety of offences. Here’s the full list of charges:

-One person was charged with one count of mischief under $5000 and two counts of breach of probation;
-One person was charged for breaches;
-One person was charged with one count of theft under $5000 (shoplifting);
-Two people were charged with one count of theft under $5000 (shoplifting) and one count of breach of probation;
-Two people were charged with public intoxication; and
-One person was charged with domestic assault.
