The Near North District School Board has balanced its budget.
Revenues and expenses will come in at around 141-million dollars this year. The board is carrying over a 424-thousand dollar deficit from last year, and a 700-thousand dollar drop in funding from the province. Trustees also expect enrolment to drop by over 120 students this fall.
In order to maintain a balanced budget they will be cutting staff.  They don’t have an exact number of have many employees will be losing their jobs at this point.
