One man had to be sent to a hospital after a fight turned violent at a downtown North Bay apartment. Police were called to the home yesterday at around 5 PM from a witness who was also at the apartment.
When police arrived, the victim had to be sent to hospital to receive medical treatment. After an investigation, they charged a 43-year-old man with assault causing bodily harm.
Police have also released a new round of domestic assault statistics for the month of May. There were 110 domestic occurrences last month, resulting in 21 people charged.
