Unemployment was up last month in the area. According to Statistics Canada, unemployment was at 5.8 per cent last month. That’s a 0.4 per cent increase from the same month last year. It’s not deemed statistically significant because it’s below the standard error. The stats include North Bay, Callander, East Ferris, and Bonfield.
