There won’t be any boat launches Friday or Saturday at Minnehaha Bay. It’s because a lot of people are expected at Saturday’s first ever Rock N’ Rib Fest. West Nipissing is banning launches for safety reasons. Mayor Joanne Savage says to contact the municipality if you’re under special circumstances. The municipality’s phone number is 753-2250. Meanwhile, professional and local ribbers will be Minnehaha Bay for Rock’ N’ Rib Fest. The event has 16 musical acts. There’s also a kids zone with plenty of activities. Tickets are $5 and some money raised from the event goes to the Cache Bay water park project.
