Local mining company Faraco Canada has received a hefty grant from the federal government.
One-hundred and seventy thousand dollars in funding will support the continued development of a data acquisition system that captures and records production data from drilling rigs. That data will be used to create best practices for when drilling under different conditions, and will increase the overall safety of crews.
The announcement was made my MP Jay Aspin, and Honourable Ed Holder, Minister of State for Science & Technology this morning.
