North Bay residents will soon be able to fly to Billy Bishop Airport in Toronto for only $105.00.
The city has just announced that Porter Airlines will be added as a second carrier as of October 7th. There will be daily flights to Toronto and back. A second route will also go to Timmins for $106.00. Passengers will be flying aboard a 74 seat plane with leather seats.
Mayor Al McDonald says the deal was reached after four years of negotiations between the city and the airline. Currently, flights from North Bay to Toronto can cost upwards of $1,000.00.
