Three researchers at Nipissing University have received a significant long-term investment from the federal government.
Over $280,000 will go towards supporting new discoveries in science and engineering at the university. Dr. April James is receiving over $100,000 of the grant money for her ongoing project studying the cycling of water through watersheds.
The money is being provided through the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada Discovery Grants Program. The funding announcement was made my Nipissing-Timiskaming MP Jay Aspin during a tour of the laboratory yesterday.
