North Bay Police present cheque to the Canadian Mental Health Association…

The Canadian Mental Health Association has received a generous donation from the North Bay Police Service.

Eleven-hundred dollars was presented to the organization yesterday, in memory of former constable Andrew Keating, who passed away last year. The money was raised through a community barbecue, and the sale of memorial wristbands. Executive Director George Kristolistis accepted the cheque on behalf of the Canadian Mental Health Association, during a presentation at police headquarters yesterday.

The police service also introduced their Youth in Policing Initiative, with summer students Neve Belanger and Brooklyn Ladouceur. The students will be offering assistance to civilian staff in various divisions of the police service, and will be conducting exit surveys of visitors to the station.
