It was one of the deadliest Civic Long Weekends in recent history.
This is according to the OPP, who is reporting 16 deaths over the August long weekend. By Monday, August 3rd, nine people had lost their lives on OPP patrolled roads, in a series of different crashes involving cars, motorcycles, and cyclists.
One of the fatal crashes happened in East Ferris, where a 17-year-old boy lost his life in a motorcycle crash. Another 6 people drowned, and one person died in a boating incident on Grass Lak
