The strike or lockout deadline for CUPE workers at the AIDS Committee of North Bay and Area is fast approaching.
It is set for August 15th, and bargaining for the workers’ first contract is scheduled to take place on August 13th and 14th. The main issues that will be addressed are wages and working conditions.
The employees and community supporters will be holding a solidarity rally outside their office at 269 Main Street in North Bay at noon today. The union represents social workers, outreach workers, medical professionals and others at the Aids Committee.
