The provincial government is investing in agriculture in the north.
Millions of dollars in funding has been announced for four area projects. That includes $660,000 for the West Nipissing-East Sudbury region, that will be used by 19 farmers for a land clearing project.
Another $2,000,000 will go towards 30 farmers in Northeastern Ontario for different tile draining projects. Finally, $35,000 will help improve the water system at the Association for Community Pastures in Temiskaming Shores. The money was made available through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation.
