One person has been arrested after a stabbing at a North Bay home.

Around midnight on September 26, North Bay police responded to a call on McIntyre street west. The investigation found that a group of friends had been socializing when an argument took place.

Police say that the victim was stabbed multiple times with an edged weapon after the argument turned physical.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is currently in critical but stable condition.

After attempting to flee, police arrested the 21-year-old suspect from North Bay and charged him with:
• One count of Assault with a Weapon
• One count of Aggravated Assault

The man remains in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
