Squirrels causing outages in North Bay

If you live in the Ferris or Airport Hill area of North Bay, you might have noticed several brief power outages this summer.

North Bay Hydro wants to clear the air. These outages have not been caused by a defect in their electrical system. CEO of North Bay Hydro, Todd Wilcox, says most of the time, it’s small critters like squirrels that have interfered with a power line.

Several storms have moved through North Bay this summer which have also caused some of the outages. If you are a North Bay Hydro customer, and experience any type of outage, call them at (705) 474-8100, and they will look into the cause.
