North Bay is getting a brand new ambulance station next to Highway 17.
The new station at 1715 Seymour Street is going to replace the two existing locations on Beatty Street and Ferris Drive. The District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board feels the new station will be more cost effective than operating out of two locations. It will also allow fast access to all parts of the service area from the bypass.
The Seymour station will serve a coverage area halfway to Mattawa, West Nipissing, Temagami, and Callander. Construction should be complete within a year.
