A West Nipissing woman is facing multiple charges after Police say she stole a vehicle.
Yesterday morning, North Bay Police got a call that the stolen vehicle was being driven in the city.
Officers stopped the vehicle on Pearson Street and the accused attempted to flee on foot but was caught.
As a result of the arrest, police found various suspected drugs including 1.3 grams of purple fentanyl, 3.8 grams of crystal meth, as well as a taser.
The vehicle was first reported stolen on Oct. 2.
The 38-year-old West Nipissing woman was charged with:
One count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000;
One count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000;
Two Counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Schedule I Substance;
One Count of Possession of a Prohibited Device;
Three Counts of Fail to Comply with Release Order; and
One Count of Breach of Probation.
She remains in custody pending a bail hearing at North Bay Court on October 7.
