Enhanced COVID-19 screening implemented at City Hall

Beginning next Tuesday, visiting City Hall will require enhanced COVID-19 screening.

In a release issued this morning, the city states the enhanced protocols help prevent the spread of the virus and as well as potential risk to the public and municipal staff.

In addition to mandatory use of face coverings, everyone entering City Hall will be subject to COVID-19 screening questions and a ‘no touch’ temperature check. Anyone experiencing symptoms of the virus, or who have an elevated temperature will not be permitted to enter the facility and will be advised to call the health unit for advice.

Customer Service Centre and Provincial Offences Administration Office will continue to offer in-person services between 9 am and 4 pm weekdays.

Access to residential rental housing, business, marriage ad lottery licensing as well as building plan submissions and permit issuance will still be available by appointment.
