The North Bay Taxpayers Association is again claiming that staff gives councillors incorrect information on how tax levies are calculated. Spokesman Don Rennick says this is the result of the terms “tax levy” and “tax rate” being inter-changed.
Rennick says the two are different but because no distinction is made, the association claims the tax levy is under-reported each year. The association wants council to get staff to make the distinction.
No member of council had any questions for Rennick following his presentation.
