MPP David Piccini says revoking Regulation 274 was something the conservative government has been mulling for a while.
Teachers unions including the Elementary Teachers Federation and the Secondary School Teachers have both spoken out against the recent changes, stating it’s an attack on the fair hiring process and leads the way for nepotism.
Piccini says a hiring policy will be in place that establishes a fair and transparent hiring process.
