A 29-year-old North Bay man has a court date after police say he assaulted someone with a weapon.
Police say that on Wednesday, the victim confronted three men who were in a Ferguson St. alley after he heard some suspicious noises. The three told him to leave the area but the man refused and they started arguing. It turned physical and the accused took out a knife. Police located the accused near Ferguson St. He was charged with assault with a weapon, uttering death threats, and breach of probation.
He remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
The victim was not injured.
