Don’t be alarmed to see people in military uniforms around town next week.
The Canadian Forces have advised people in North Bay, Corbeil, Astorville and Derland that personnel from the Canadian Special Operations Regiment will be conducting training exercises from November 16 to 20.
Armed soldiers in uniform may be seen in the areas. Noises from weapons and explosives may also be heard.
“All efforts will be made to ensure that disruption to the community will be at a minimum,” the Canadian Forces said in a statement. “The Canadian Special Operations Regiment is extremely thankful for the support and understanding of the local residents during this valuable training.”
