Two North Bay men face robbery charges

Police say that in the evening of November 14, the two accused went to the victim’s residence in the Birch Haven area. One of the accused pointed a firearm at the victim demanding details of her debit card police say he had taken possession of. The victim complied and both accused fled the area. The victim received no physical injuries as a result of the robbery.

The next day, North Bay Police utilized their Emergency Response Team and effected a safe arrest of one of the accused at a Madelina Street residence in North Bay.

Firearms were seized from the residence including the one believed to be involved in the incident.

The second was located later that day and was arrested.

The investigation is still on-going.

Both remain in custody pending bail hearings at the North Bay Courthouse.

A 45-year-old man has been charged with:
One count of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance;
One count of Robbery with Firearm;
One count of Using a Firearm in Commission of an Offence; and
One count of Pointing a Firearm.

A 21-year-old man has been charged with;
One count of Robbery with a Firearm;
One count of Using a Firearm in Commission of an Offence; and
One count of Pointing a Firearm.
One count of Theft Under $5000;
One count of Breach of a Recognizance; and
One count of Fail to Comply with a Release order.
