There will be a community flu clinic in North Bay on November 21.
The clinic will take place at North Bay Elks Lodge, on 325 Elks Ln. from 9 am to 5 pm.
The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit is encouraging people to book an appointment by calling 1-800-563-2808 ext. 5377.
COVID-19 protocols will be in place, including wearing a face mask and physical distancing.
The Health Unit says local pharmacies are also administering flu shots if you cannot make the community clinic.
Flu shots have been recommended by both the Health Unit and the provincial government to help ease the strain on the healthcare sector amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Statistics from the Canadian Press show flu cases are down this year. There have been just 17 influenza cases reported across Canada so far this flu season, compared to 711 at the same time last year.
