Be bear wise!
That’s the message from the North Bay Mattawa Conservation Authority after some black bear cubs were spotted in the Laurentian Escarpment Conservation Area. They were seen Sunday around 15 Janey Avenue.
The Conservation Authority is asking bikers and walkers in the area to be cautious. A sign has been posted at the escarpment and will be there for the next few days to alert visitors. If you see a bear in the area, let the Conservation Authority know.
