NBPS, OPP collaboration producing results

8 People (4 local) are facing various drug charges.

Last Wednesday after 9 pm, police stopped a car on Fisher Street.

Police searched the vehicle and seized nearly 6 grams of suspected fentanyl, 15 grams of suspected cocaine and over $5,000.

A 27-year-old from Scarborough was charged with:
Two counts of Possession of a Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine and Fentanyl);
One count of Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000; and
One count of Breach of Release Order.

A 22-year-old from Pickering was charged with:
Two counts of Possession of a Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine and Fentanyl); and
One count of Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.

A 23-year-old from Toronto was charged with:
Two counts of Possession of a Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine and Fentanyl); and
Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.

All three males remain in custody pending bail hearings at the North Bay Courthouse.

Police say they then executed a search warrant at a Fisher St. residence, which led to the arrest of two (ages 35 and 36) from North Bay, resulting in the charges of:

One Count of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (fentanyl);
One count of Possession of Prohibited Weapon;
One Count of Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000; and
One count of Possession of a Substance (crystal methamphetamine)

A second warrant was then executed on a Manitou St. resident.

A 22-year-old from Milton was charged with;
One count of Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
A 40-year-old from of North Bay was charged with;
One count of Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
A 38-year-old from North Bay was charged with;
One count of Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000

Police say they seized Canadian Currency from the residence.

The three invidividuals were ll released and will appear at the north bay courthouse.

The total amount of Canadian currency seized from all three locations was $29,520.

North Bay Police and OPP say they’re continuing their partnership to identify, and take action on people involved in the illegal distribution of drugs in the district.
