Canadian Forces members and community volunteers have been hard at work delivering Christmas cheer to families in need through the North Bay Santa Fund.
Wednesday morning saw a convoy of volunteer drivers outside Memorial Gardens have their vehicles filled with food and toy baskets for those on the “nice list” this year.
Over 600 gift baskets and 1,500 toys were collected and donated through the Santa Fund this year.
The 50 volunteers on hand were pre-selected and pre-screened for COVID-19.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the 73rd Santa Fund has raised $126,000 of its $140,000 goal.
