North Bay man facing slew of charges

A 28-year-old North Bay man is facing charges after police say he was carrying various dangerous weapons.
Police say that at 2 am on Monday, the accused went to a Sixth Avenue West residence in North Bay and broke the glass window of the front door, and then fled on foot. The victim, who was home at the time, saw the accused flee from the residence, and contacted police giving them a description.
The man was found and searched and police found a pair of brass knuckles, a collapsible baton, bear spray as well as two knives.

The accused was charged with

  • One count of Mischief Under $5000;
  • One count of Possession Weapon Dangerous Purpose;
  • One count of  and Possession Prohibited Weapon;
  • One count of Breach of Release Order;
  • One count of Breach of Prohibition Order; and
  • One count of Breach of Probation

The man is being held in custody and will appear in North Bay court at the end of January.
