The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit is reporting no new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend.
From January 8 to 14, the region saw 12.3 cases per 100,000 people during a record spike for the Health Unit. From January 14 to 20, the rate is down to 4.6 cases per 100,000, which is a drop of nearly 63 percent, according to Public Health Ontario figures.
There are still just three active cases of the virus in the region, one of which is in the Nipissing District.
The region has seen 186 total cases of the virus during the pandemic, resulting in one death.
There are also no outbreaks in any schools or long term care homes.
