The Near North District School Board (NNDSB) appointed Wally Easton as the new Interim Executive Officer (IEO) on Monday.
The news comes in light of the retirement of Liz Therrien as Superintendent of Business and is effective Monday, February 1st.
On March 1st, he will transition into an Acting Senior Business Official (SBO) role while a permanent replacement is found.
Easton brings to the table experience serving as a Special Advisor to the Minister of Education, as well as six years as a policy analyst with the Ontario Catholic School Trustees’ Association.
Besides all the reporting relationships and duties assigned to SBO Therrien that Easton will be carrying, he will also help in searching for and mentoring his permanent successor.
