Local NDP candidate concerned about Energy East Pipeline project

Local NDP Candidate Kathleen Jodouin is concerned about the environmental assessment policies of the Conservatives.

She says the federal government’s programs are not credible, and this is part of the reason why the Energy East Pipeline Project hasn’t been approved. Jodouin says she has lived and raised her family in the area, and her main concern is the safety of Nipissing-Timiskaming’s drinking water.

She says if  elected, she would make sure there was a proper approval process for the pipeline that ensures the safety of local drinking water.  Jodouin is running against Liberal Candidate Anthony Rota, Conservative Candidate Jay Aspin, and Green Party Candidate Nicole Peltier. Voters head to the polls on October 19th.
