COVID Outbreak at McDonald’s on Bowes declared over

The COVID-19 outbreak at McDonald’s at 118 Bowes in Parry Sound Street is officially over.

The local health unit said the outbreak that was declared February 27th, is over as of Friday.

The Health Unit and McDonald’s managed the outbreak to ensure the safety of the staff and customers.

The outbreak was originally stated to include four employees who tested positive, with two preliminary positive results for the variant.

The health unit states in its Friday release that one more person received a preliminary positive result for a variant after the outbreak was declared.

The outbreak was contained and no further cases tested positive as a result.
